Terms of Use
Ask Ru · Teatalz House of Rume Private Limited · Last updated 6 October 2026
These terms apply to the Ask Ru app, operated by Teatalz House of Rume Private Limited. Teatalz, our social app, has separate terms.
1. What Ask Ru is — and what it is not
Ask Ru gives you readings: from your birth chart, from tarot cards you pick yourself, or from a single Oracle card. Ru is an AI. She is not a person and does not pretend to be one.
Ask Ru is for reflection and guidance. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or a prognosis; not legal advice; not financial or investment advice; and not a prediction of what will happen to you or to anyone else.
Ru will not name a disease, promise a cure or a recovery, or tell you whether anyone will die, fall ill or recover. She will not tell you what another person will do or feel. If you are worried about your health, see a doctor. If you are in distress, the app will show you helpline information — please use it.
2. Remedies: things you do, never things you buy
Ru may suggest a remedy — a manifestation, a pooja you perform yourself, a fast, a mantra, a donation, feeding animals, or something small that helps the living world around you.
Ru will never suggest a gemstone, a bracelet, a stone, a yantra, a thread, or anything else that has to be bought — not from us, not from anyone. She will never tell you to pay someone to perform a ritual on your behalf. If you are ever asked to buy something to fix a reading, it is not us.
3. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a code we send to it. Keep access to that email address safe; anyone who has it can reach your account. One account per person.
4. What you pay
Today, Ask Ru gives you one free reading per account — one, ever, not one a week — and you may use it on any of the three sections.
When paid readings are available in the app, these terms apply:
- A reading costs a fixed price, shown to you before you ask. That one price covers the reading and the follow-up questions on it — there is no clock, and asking more does not cost more.
- You add money to a wallet inside the app. The amount shown as the recharge is the amount that reaches your wallet. GST of 18% is charged on top of it, shown separately and never folded in.
- Money in your wallet does not expire.
- There is no subscription, and nothing auto-renews. We will never set up a recurring charge on your account.
- If Ru cannot give you a reading, that question is not charged. If it was charged, it goes back to your wallet.
5. Using Ask Ru properly
Please do not try to break the app, get around its limits, use it to harm anyone, or resell readings as your own service. We may suspend an account that does.
6. Your readings
Your readings are yours to read, export and keep. We keep them and use them to make Ru better, as section 4 of our Privacy Policy explains — please read that section before you use Ask Ru.
The card artwork, the Oracle deck, the app and Ru herself are ours.
7. When Ru gets it wrong
Readings are generated by a model. They can be wrong, and a reading is never a reason to do something you otherwise would not. You decide what you do; we are not responsible for decisions you take after a reading. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything connected to Ask Ru is limited to what you have paid us in the three months before the claim.
8. Ending it
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account and you have unused wallet money, we will refund it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
