These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Teatalz application and website (the "Service"), operated by Teatalz House of Rume Private Limited ("Teatalz", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Teatalz. Users aged 16–18 require verifiable parental consent. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. What Teatalz is — and is not

Teatalz provides an AI companion ("Rume") and a community ("Adda") for emotional wellbeing and connection. Rume is not a therapist, doctor, or crisis service, and does not provide medical, legal, or professional advice. If you are in crisis or need professional help, please contact a qualified professional or a helpline. The Service surfaces verified helplines where a conversation signals risk, but it is not a substitute for professional care.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post or share content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers minors.
• Impersonate others, spam, or abuse the community.
• Attempt to bypass safety, moderation, or payment controls, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

All content is subject to AI-assisted moderation. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including through a three-strike system for repeat violations.

5. Subscriptions, credits & payments

Teatalz offers free and paid subscription plans and in-app digital items (including AI usage credits, voice packs and other digital goods). Prices are shown in the app. Paid plans renew as described at purchase until cancelled. Payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). Purchases of digital items and credits are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. User content

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you post.

7. Intellectual property

The Teatalz name, brand, "Rume", "Adda", and all software and design are owned by Teatalz House of Rume Private Limited. You may not copy or use them without permission.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teatalz House of Rume Private Limited is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to comply with law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
